Strawberry Blossom Weevil pest module template approved
Strawberry Blossom Weevil (Anthonomus rubi)
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has approved the pest module template (below) for Anthonomus rubi (Strawberry Blossom Weevil) for outdoor growers. As this is a new and evolving situation, this document may also evolve over time. For now, growers are able to use this template to develop their own pest modules to support exports of outdoor grown Rosa, Fragaria and Rubus.

Completed pest modules will need to be presented to your local CFIA office for review and approval prior to being used to support export trade.

Many, many thanks to the staff at CFIA for their hard work in getting this developed and approved in such a short time. Thanks also to those growers and support staff who worked with CFIA to develop the module.

Please share this with your grower members.
